I originally published the BABY size range of the pattern in Interweave Knits Weekend,September 2009.

Instructions for the BABY sizes have been slightly modified in this version of the pattern.

This pattern has also been resized up to a 14.25” cross-back measurement. Five new CHILD sizes have been added.

Baby: 
Finished Sizes 8 (91/2, 11, 121/2)” wide across back, to fit sizes 3 (6, 12–18, 24) months. Shrug shown measures 91/2”.

Child: 
Finished sizes 11.25 (12.75, 13.5, 14, 14.25)” wide across back, to fit sizes 4(6, 8, 10, 12)

Yarn:
Garments are pictured in Lorna’s Laces Green Line DK color Periwinkle

BABY: 175(200, 225, 250) yards DK weight yarn 
CHILD: 250(300, 350, 400, 450) yards DK weight yarn

Needles:
Size 6 (4 mm): 24” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). 
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge:
22 sts and 28 = 4” in stockinette stitch
