Exciting news! I’ve teamed up with Craftsy again to create a new set of custom colored yarns. This time, we are working with the fantabulous folks at Lorna’s Laces Yarns.
Craftsy is a wonderful place to work and be a mom, and is a community largely made up of moms, grandmothers, and other people with children in their lives. In selecting photos for this set of custom colors, I focused on my daughters, Mazie and Olive.
I wanted the colors to be warm and fun, but also wearable. The timing of this project is excellent, in that we are able to offer some fun, pick-me-up colors as the weather turns cooler. To create the colors, I sent Amanda a series of photos that represented the moods I was hoping to convey, and she worked her magic!
Here’s my inspiration:
Photo 1: Focusing on the ballet outfits, tights, shoes.
Photo 2: (Focusing on the colors in their hair)
I picture this as a mix of golds, peach, rust, etc. Natural, pretty on lots of complexions.
Photo 3: Doll Houses
Bright cacophony of happy colors
Tune in later to see how the yarns came out!
